Excited to share ‘Sunrise’ with you, one of our official iTunes releases, written in collaboration with the wonderful Barnaby Smith of Greenway Music. We wrote this song especially because sunrise is our favourite time of the day.

Our new single, Sajna, is now available to download on iTunes ….
Sajna was conceptualised on a London underground tube en route to Covent Garden one summer.
With creative composition at the heart of Sareni’s being, Sajna takes a unique place in our portfolio as the piece that started our musical journey.
Bringing together three voices, with a haunting piano score that awakens the longing love of a lost soul, Sajna sets out to stir emotions across diverse audiences, contemporary and old; east and west.
We are delighted to be featuring the talented Rekesh Chauhan playing the piano score on this track.

We have been jamming for the last few days in the tranquil village of Follifoot. The scenery around here has inspired us and triggered a few musical flashes from the three of us. We have recorded lots of random tunes, which we now need to edit – particularly getting rid of all the talking and laughing! It’s been great fun and we are sad to leave the beautiful apartment that has been home for the last few days. But as a wise man once said, “I’ll be back” – and indeed we will…
We are in the beautiful village of Follifoot in the Yorkshire Dales. Many musical adventures to be had here. Thanks to Jon and Sally Heasley for the loan of their gadgets for the week! xxx
Fully inspired by a beautiful sunny morning and many cups of tea later…the jamming is still going strong! Loving every minute!

It’s really good to be together in the same city for a while, after 6 months!
We’ve had plenty of tea, the candles are on, and we’re ready for some jamming…..;-)
A short piece that Raj and I composed this morning. It was based on a line I’d written – Tose Naina Laage Re. It’s loosely set in Raag Khamaj…
Here’s something we’ve been working on recently…just a clip of a new composition. Raj originally composed a beautiful song, which is the base for this track – and we’re just improvising around it.
Hope you enjoy it!
We are a group of friends who have been jamming, composing and performing together for a few years.
Since last year, we’ve all moved to different cities and our time together is limited :(.
So, we decided to start this blog. To share our musical moments and our ventures – with each other, our family and friends – and anyone else who’s interested!
Hope you enjoy it.
Here’s a recording of a rehearsal we did for a performance at a friend’s pre-wedding party. We just recorded the sound on Raina’s phone (modern technology eh!) and then created the video from some recent images of us. Hope you like it! Vocals by Raj and Raina, with our take on two classical Indian film songs…
Vodpod videos no longer available.
Welcome to Sareni’s blog!
We’ve only just started, so any support is greatly appreciated 😉
